Julie Smolinski

Julie joined HEI in 2011, spending several years as in-house counsel focused on transactions, governance and general corporate practice before joining the Investor Relations and Strategic Planning team. In her current role she leads the company’s Investor Relations and Corporate Sustainability efforts. She collaborates with colleagues across the HEI companies to develop the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities, strategies and disclosures.  

Prior to HEI, she practiced corporate law in Honolulu, HI and Palo Alto, CA. Julie also has previous experience in public affairs with the U.S. Department of State and Powell Tate in Washington, DC. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, a JD from Stanford University and an Executive MBA from the University of Hawaii. She serves on the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii and Palmyra.
